RBS International has appointed Jim Clark in a newly established role as Head of Customer Goals, completing the Institutional Banking leadership team under Susan Fouquier.

Jim joined RBS International in 2022, which is part of NatWest Group where he previously worked for 16 years and led teams across the Markets, Global Transaction Services and Commercial Banking businesses.

The new Customer Goals team has been formed to better support RBS International’s institutional clients through improved on-boarding processes, service journeys and propositions.

The team sits within NatWest Group’s Commercial and Institutional franchise, created in 2022, which brings together the Commercial, NatWest Markets and RBS International customer businesses. Based across the UK, Europe, Asia and USA, the franchise supports business customers – from entrepreneurs right through to large corporate organisations and multi-nationals – by providing the product solutions and expertise they need to thrive and grow.

Susan Fouquier (pictured), Institutional Banking Managing Director, RBS International, said: “We play an important role in supporting our clients’ success and it’s a pleasure to welcome Jim to my leadership team to focus on implementing plans that will greatly benefit our customers and make banking easier.”

Jim Clark, Head of Customer Goals for Institutional Banking, RBS International, said: “I am excited to work with our talented colleagues to develop and enhance the propositions and services we offer.

“From faster account opening, to increased innovation of our online banking platform, I look forward to delivering for our clients and ensuring our strong relationships continue well into the future.”

Jim’s appointment marks the completion of the Institutional Banking leadership team after a series of recent strategic hires:

  • Daniela Klasen-Martin joined the bank as Country Head for Luxembourg at the start of the year, moving from Credit Suisse.
  • Ben Dale was appointed to lead on Risk matters after 18 years at NatWest Group where he most recently headed up the Credit Risk Audit team.
  • Jamie Bennie-Coulson was promoted to Head of Business Enablement, responsible for delivering the financial strategy for the business whilst ensuring the product strategy and credit risk profile supports customer needs.
  • Paula Ritchie was appointed to lead on Performance and Business Management, including Transformational Change, after 18 years at NatWest Group in various roles across the Corporate and Commercial Banking businesses.

They join Mat James who leads the Institutional Banking Offshore team from Jersey, and Neil Walker who heads up the UK Institutional Banking team, based out of London.
