Ravenscroft has appointed Shani McBurnie and Kamil Taborski to new roles in client services and compliance.

Miss McBurnie is a client services administrator and will provide Ravenscroft’s Jersey clients with a local point of contact for queries and Mr Taborski joins as compliance administrator.

“As the number of Jersey clients and the assets under administration increases so does the need to have a larger Ravenscroft presence here in the island. The administration and operational support we receive from the company’s headquarters in Guernsey has been invaluable but the service we provide to our clients is what sets us apart and we now need additional people in Jersey,” said Managing Director of Ravenscroft in Jersey, Haydn Taylor.

“Shani and Kamil have already proved themselves to be fantastic assets to the company and it is really encouraging that despite many financial companies imposing recruitment freezes that Ravenscroft locally has recently appointed three key people in Kamil, Shani and David Le Cornu as head of discretionary in Jersey. Knowing how busy we are, I am confident there will be more hires before the end of the year.”

Shani (shown to the left in the main picture), 22, was educated in Jersey and returned home after completing her degree in Liverpool. She joins Ravenscroft from the Jersey Financial Services Commission and in her new role she will assist clients with the general administration of their accounts.

“It’s been fantastic getting to know some of our clients and I am looking forward to meeting as many as possible over the coming months. Ravenscroft definitely has a client first approach, our clients are people, not numbers and that’s something that I think is really important,” she said.  As part of the company’s continuous professional development Shani will also be undertaking relevant investment qualifications.

Kamil (shown to the right in the main picture), 27, went to Highlands College and studied Business Administration before starting work in the Finance industry in 2013. His most recent role was as a client due diligence administrator which involved working closely with the Financial Crime Unit. In his new role at Ravenscroft, he will oversee the adherence to regulations and procedures.

“Compliance is a vital role for any regulated business and I am looking forward to working closely with my immediate colleagues, supporting the client teams, increasing my compliance knowledge and gaining relevant qualifications and playing my part in helping Ravenscroft continue its success”, he said.
