Five members of the investment team at Rathbone Investment Management International (RIMI) have been awarded the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals.
Jersey-based Jodie Hassett, Joel Graves, Tim Ford, Aimee Barker and Leah Ronayne have all gained the qualification, recognised by the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), an independent body that seeks to encourage investors to use responsible investing to enhance returns and better manage business risks.
As part of the growing RIMI team Jodie, Joel, Tim, Aimee and Leah work closely with Rathbone Greenbank Investments, the group’s dedicated team specialising in managing clients who wish to apply a more encompassing sustainability approach to their investments. Rathbone Greenbank has worked with clients across trusts, families and pensions for almost 25 years and manages more than £2 billion in ethical investment assets.
Tim Ford, the investment director with responsibility for RIMI’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations commented: “I’m proud of our heritage and prouder still of the team and their desire to continually develop their professional skills to service our clients who are themselves increasingly focused on ‘responsible investment’.”
Managing director, Jonathan Giles said: “Rathbones Group has the ambition to be the most responsible wealth manager in Britain and the development of our team is critical to this objective, so we’re naturally delighted to see such success. Our specialist ESG skills can be delivered across a range of investment and fund services and these will continue to evolve in line with our clients’ requirements.”
