Radisson Blu Waterfront Jersey has announcde their charity partnership with Jersey Hospice Care.
The team at the St Helier waterfront hotel wanted to partner with a local charity that makes a real difference and felt that Hospice was a charity close to many hearts.
From 1st June, Radisson Blu team members will be wearing a Jersey Hospice Tree of Life pin badge to highlight their support and encourage guests to find out more about the charity. They will be supporting Hospice by entering some of the charity’s fundraising events, volunteering, and coming up with their own initiatives to raise additional funds which will support the £16,500 per day it costs to provides Hospice’s services.
In particular, Radisson Blu will be making a donation for every afternoon tea sold during National Afternoon Tea week in August and during other themed events.
Radisson Blu Waterfront Jersey’s Managing Director, Chris Peach said: “Jersey Hospice Care touches the lives of nearly all islanders and their role will only continue to become more important as time goes on. Anyone who has experienced – directly or indirectly – the compassionate care demonstrated by Hospice’s dedicated staff and volunteers make it, understandably, a much-loved, local charity.
“My colleagues are excited to help this vital community service and delighted to have the opportunity to give back and offer our support over the coming months.”
Jersey Hospice Care’s Chief Executive, Mike Palfreman (pictured), said: “It’s an honour to be chosen by Radisson Blu Waterfront Jersey as their charity of choice. We’re looking forward to working together to raise both awareness of our services and the funds that are essential to Hospice’s future.”
