Next weekend, the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (PPBF)’s sell-out fundraiser, ‘Blingo’, will be hosted by Carl Ward, in celebration of the charity’s 21st year.
On Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March, over 350 islanders will get together for a glamorous evening of black tie-bingo and entertainment at St Pierre Park, sponsored by Catherine Best, Channel Islands Adjusters, BC Partners and Hand Picked Hotels.
Organiser, PPBF Ambassador Sara Edmonds, has introduced fresh new additions to the event including a ‘Key to the Door’ game themed around the charity’s compassionate housing, the Spotted Kandy Platinum Lounge and live music by the Last of the Light Brigade.
A selection of jewellery from the Catherine Best ‘Embrace Collection’ is the special prize for a full house in bingo. Silent bids are also being accepted for a bespoke pet portrait by Ryan Dawe, Liverpool FC Match tickets donated by Mark and Sarah Oliphant, and tickets for the Premier League Darts Play-Offs.
Last year’s Blingo raised £22,000 for the PPBF’s work to support Guernsey families with a premature baby or critically ill child, and the team is hopeful to hit a new record between its Corporate Night (Friday) and Open to All Evening (Saturday).
Jo Priaulx, PPBF co-founder said: “Blingo first started in 2019 and it just keeps growing. It’s honestly so much fun; you need to be there to soak up the atmosphere. The interest blew us away as our Public Night sold out to the point where we had to organise a waiting list. A huge amount of work goes into the event’s curation and our wonderful Sara Edmonds has been at the helm. Thank you to all our official partners, and our local raffle and auction donors. Every gesture, big or small, really helps to pull these fabulous nights together.”
