The data, analytics and insights provider, Preqin has listed Mourant in a special report which identifies the global leading service providers in alternative assets.
Mourant has been identified as the only offshore law firm in the global top 10 of the ‘Law firms in fund formation’ category, listed in two categories:
- Leading law firms in servicing private capital funds closed by asset class
- Leading law firms in fund formation servicing private capital funds closed
Mourant is a multi-jurisdictional firm working with onshore firms in the formation and servicing of offshore alternative funds.

Preqin’s report on alternative assets providers was compiled using data from more than 52,000 private capital funds, 440,000 private capital deals, 32,900 hedge funds and 5,900 service providers.
Firms were included based on the number of known funds or deals serviced within the given criteria.
