Ports of Jersey has appointed a new agency to oversee its future advertising sales and promotional opportunities across the airport and harbour sites.
Shooht Out Of Home, which is part of Signtech (CI) Ltd is a full-service outdoor advertising media agency and currently provides services to numerous Jersey companies, including LibertyBus, Liberation Station and Jersey Post. The contract, which is valid for up to 5-years will come into effect from Monday 1 July 2019.
Interest was expressed by both local and off-island businesses, with the new company succeeding the existing agency, The Marketing Bureau, which decided not to pursue the tender process and instead has decided to explore other business opportunities.
Announcing the successful new appointment, Chief Commercial Officer for Ports of Jersey, Jonathan Crick, said: “We are very impressed by the overall professionalism and understanding of our business that Shooht demonstrated in its submission together with its creativity and passion as well as the shared vision we have for future advertising and promotional opportunities across our business, which we are confident will appeal to both existing and potential clients”.
In response, Managing Director for Shooht/Signtech, Sean Guegan, said: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Ports of Jersey and support the company with the transformation of the new Jersey Airport terminal as well as revitalising the advertising opportunities at Jersey Harbour.”
Acknowledging the work undertaken by The Marketing Bureau, Mr Crick concluded: “On behalf of Ports of Jersey I would like to thank The Marketing Bureau team for its support displayed over the many years it has handled the advertising sites at Jersey Airport and Jersey Harbours and wish them well in their future endeavours.”
