Parslows has announced the appointment of Shaun O’Connor as a Senior Conveyancer.
Shaun (pictured) has been a part-time property consultant with the firm for the last two years. He is one of the most experienced conveyancers in Jersey, with over 40 years of practice in conveyancing and property law, both as department manager of busy property teams but also as a well-seasoned practitioner.
He has handled a wide range of property transactions for decades, acting for large scale property developers, financial and professional institutions as well as general home movers and first-time buyers. On the residential front, Shaun has conveyed all types of local residential property and was responsible for several local landmark housing developments. His commercial work extends to development sites, supermarket buildings, commercial, office/retail premises and local farmsteads.
Shaun has been appointed by the Viscount and Royal Court of Jersey as a ‘conveyancing expert’ on numerous occasions in legal disputes relating to real property. He was a founding member of the Jersey Association of Property Conveyancers and sits on Jersey’s Land Registry User Group Committee. Shaun has also lectured for the Jersey Institute of Law and the Jersey Estate Agent’s Association on the subjects of property law and conveyancing.
Managing Partner, Carl Parslow commented: “We are delighted that Shaun has joined our property team as a Senior Conveyancer. His wealth of experience brings an added depth to our existing team of residential property lawyers and conveyancers to continue their offering to all clients of a service that is timely, accurate and pragmatic, handled in an uncomplicated and friendly way.”
