Parslows has advised Jersey Post on its acquisition of the local marketplace website Fetch.je.
Fetch.je was the Island’s first online marketplace where shops, service providers, restaurants and cafés, with minimal or no existing online presence and limited delivery services, were able to trade online, with goods and services purchased for home delivery or collection.
David Hill, Parslows lead on the transaction said: “We are delighted to have assisted Jersey Post with its recent purchase of Fetch.je. It is a great example of Jersey Post’s approach to corporate social responsibility. For Parslows, it demonstrates, yet again, the extent of our offering, advising in both the traditional and developing legal services sectors”.
David McGrath, group marketing director at Jersey Post, commented: “This acquisition is very different from those that we have completed in recent times. The Fetch concept offers Jersey Post a unique opportunity to further develop the established platform and its functionality, not just for the end users, but also for the growth of the local retail industry. At a key time in the retail calendar, we are excited about the potential developments and improvements we have lined up to support the high street and its customers”.
