The app based parking payment system in Jersey is being rolled out to on-street parking from this week.
Until now the PayByPhone system has been available in States car parks, but the scheme is being extended from Tuesday 28 November.
The Department for Infrastructure introduced the app in September, initially in one car park with the service gradually extended to cover the other car parks (with the exception of Sand Street).
Drivers can still use paycards at all sites if they want to.
Motorists can use PayByPhone to pay for their parking by entering the location code on the nearby signage into the app.
Minister for Infrastructure, Deputy Eddie Noel, said “The new PayByPhone system has been really well received in our car parks and people have been asking if and when they will be able to use it on street, so I am pleased that we are able to roll it out to street parking so quickly.”
You can download the PayByPhone app in the usual places, and registration is quick and intuitive.
