Ogier’s Dispute Resolution team has promoted trust disputes and corporate restructuring specialist Sandie Lyne to partner.
Sandie, who joined Ogier in 2014, is a Guernsey Advocate with extensive experience in commercial and financial dispute resolution, especially contentious trusts, restructuring, insolvency, and regulatory matters.
She regularly advises in connection with complex and high value international matters with multi-jurisdictional elements, including acting on the restructuring of Ocean Rig, one of the highest value restructurings on record, during a secondment to Ogier’s Cayman office.
The law firm’s head of Dispute Resolution in Guernsey, Advocate Mathew Newman, said: “Dispute Resolution and Restructuring and Corporate Recovery has been a massive growth area for Ogier and in Guernsey it has been no exception.
“We have one of the largest, and certainly the fastest growing, Dispute Resolution teams in Guernsey which has been driven by a huge uptick of contentious work during the course of the 2020. This calls for additional leadership and we are delighted that Sandie is joining the partnership”.
