Ocorian, a provider of corporate and fiduciary services, fund administration and capital markets, has been recognised for its impact in the private client sector at the inaugural WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards 2022.
Ocorian was awarded the ‘Best family office governance’ award at the event, which celebrated the brightest and best among the Channel Islands’ world-renowned wealth management industry. Each of the award categories is highly contested and is subject to a rigorous process before the ultimate winner is selected by the independent judges.
In presenting Ocorian its award Stephen Harris, the CEO of WealthBriefing, said: “The judges said that the winner is a true one-stop provider of the broadest range of flexible and efficient structures for the needs of today’s increasingly global families. The client-centric team excels in providing innovative solutions to highly complex international family and intergenerational scenarios, the panel said.”
The awards were presented at an evening event at the Grand Hotel in St Helier, Jersey, and were attended by more than 100 industry professionals.
Michael Betley, Global Head of Private Clients at Ocorian said: “WealthBriefing has long been a go-to publication for our industry and it’s fantastic that they’ve extended their awards programme to the Channel Islands which, as we saw at the ceremony, have such pedigree in this area. We’re honoured to be one of the inaugural winners and it speaks to the high standards that our team applies to everything they do.
“Family office services are a growing area for Ocorian and our team is well suited to meeting the needs of our clients in this specialist sector. We’re all extremely proud of our team’s high-intellect approach to complex matters and this is especially vital to serving family offices and upholding good standards of governance, which this award recognises.”
WealthBriefing is part of ClearView Financial Media – a provider of business intelligence in the private banking and wealth management space. They run a global awards programme encompassing all of the world’s major wealth management centres and this year added the Channel Islands to the scheme.
