Ocorian has appointed Marie Hards and Rachel Rushton to director level in its Private Client team in Guernsey.
Marie (pictured) joined Guernsey’s Private Client team in 2006 as a trust officer. She currently looks after a portfolio of complex client relationships for high-net-worth individuals which includes a large Family Office structure for a Middle Eastern client and a Cayman Fund investing in US commercial real estate.
Marie is an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, as well as holding the STEP – Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients, the Diploma in Fund Administration – Alternative Investment Funds, and the IOD Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction.
Rachel joined Guernsey’s Private Client team in 2014 as a manager. Rachel has over 30 years’ experience in the administration of offshore structures, being predominantly private client focused during that time, and manages complex structures for high-net-worth individuals and works closely with their Family Offices.
Rachel manages a team and has a keen interest in mentoring and developing their administrative and management skills. She became a member of STEP in 2002 following completion of the Diploma in International Trust Management.
Marie and Rachel’s focus on clients, relationships and the upskilling of colleagues are management qualities that will contribute to Ocorian’s continued growth and success in 2024.
Ken Wrigley, Head of Private Client Guernsey said: “I am pleased that Marie and Rachel have been promoted to director and to be able to formally recognise their expertise and leadership. Marie and Rachel embody the necessary character and resilience to navigate through the challenges and changes that we are currently seeing in our industry.
“I look forward to seeing them identifying and mentoring the next generation of leaders in the future, and am excited to see what’s next for the both of them in their careers with Ocorian.”
