Oak Group has announced the promotion of 12 colleagues across its offices in Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and Mauritius.

This announcement comes in the wake of Oak’s transition to private ownership under Opera. At the heart of this transformation is Project Overture, Opera’s five year strategic plan focused on: sustainable growth, innovation, continued investment in its people, and fostering a forward-thinking culture to deliver unparalleled value for clients and intermediaries.

Kim Sgarlata, Group CEO, commented: “These promotions represent much more than career milestones—they’re markers of the ambition, energy, and excellence that power Oak’s journey. As we continue to evolve under private ownership, our people remain at the heart of everything we do. Project Overture is our blueprint for the future, and these individuals will help lead the way. Congratulations to each of them on these well-deserved promotions and thank you to all our colleagues whose dedication drives our success every day.”

Anna Sauvarin, Chief People Officer, added: “At Oak, we believe in recruiting for attitude and developing for skill. These promotions reflect our people-first culture and the depth of talent across our jurisdictions. Through our Oak 8 values and a refreshed people strategy, we’re building a working environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and bring their true selves to work. Congratulations to all those recognised – we’re proud to be part of your career story.”

Oak’s 2025 promotions include colleagues from every jurisdiction and a broad range of disciplines. In the Isle of Man, Diane Crossley, who has been with Oak for nearly 20 years and a pillar of the finance team, has been promoted to Financial Controller. Nathan Kelly becomes Manager, Trust and Corporate, having joined six years ago and progressed steadily through the ranks. He is STEP qualified and currently manages a complex portfolio of high-net-worth and family office clients.

In Mauritius, Priya Dhonneram, who joined in January 2023, has been promoted to Senior Manager, Trust & Corporate, having demonstrated exceptional resilience and technical strength. Husna Hosany, promoted to Assistant Manager, Client Accounting, has shown remarkable dedication since joining in 2022. Sarlvesh Nuckcheddy, now Team Leader, Client Accounting, joined in August 2022 and is recognised for delivering outstanding results over the last year. Yosha Purahoo takes on the role of Senior Analyst, File Reviews, bringing a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence since joining the business in March 2022.

In Jersey, Emily Corfield has been promoted to Senior Manager, Funds & Corporate, having brought over a decade of industry experience since joining two years ago. Sophie Le Marquand becomes Senior Manager, Client Services, celebrating 18 years with Oak since beginning as a Trust Officer in 2007. Rebecca Frain, who has over ten years of experience in compliance and joined three and a half years ago, has been promoted to Senior Manager, Compliance. Meanwhile, Julian Lebaillif progresses to Administrator, Client Services. A year into his Oak career and currently studying toward his STEP qualification, Julian has transitioned successfully from running his own business to building a career in private wealth.

Lastly, in Guernsey, Rebecca Traynor has been promoted to Assistant Manager, Trust & Corporate. Rebecca joined in 2018 as an Administrator, was promoted to Senior Administrator in 2023, and continues her strong upward trajectory within the business. Also in Guernsey, within Oak Fund Services, Thomas Malagodi has been promoted to Senior Accounting Manager. Thomas joined in 2023 and quickly took the lead in managing accounting delivery for some of the Group’s largest clients. He has shown aptitude for leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and now assumes oversight of the Mauritius accounts team while continuing to enhance client service standards.
