Collas Crill has made a number of promotions in the Channel Islands across its fee-earners and business services team.
Sam Williams, Laura Perkins and Simon Heggs have been promoted to Partner, and Bonnie McPartland and Tom Cutts-Watson have been made Senior Associates.
Sam Williams works on complex and cross-border commercial litigation and court applications with a focus on contentious trusts, asset recovery, injunctions and corporate disputes. He is based in Jersey and is a contributor to the STEP Contentious Trusts Forum.
Laura Perkins, also Jersey-based, specialises in wealth planning for high and ultra high net worth clients, and advises on BVI and Jersey law. She was included in Legal 500’s 2019 list of next generation lawyers.
Simon Heggs, based in the firm’s Guernsey office, advises clients on a wide range of commercial transactions, including debt finance, public and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and corporate insolvency. He is described in Legal 500 as ‘an incredibly easy lawyer to deal’, ‘technically sound but commercially astute’.
Jersey-based Bonnie McPartland specialises in trusts, commercial and dispute resolution matters. In 2019 she was recognised in the Citywealth Future Leaders Top 100 as well as receiving a gold ‘Lawyer of the Year – IFC – Associate’ award in the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards.
Tom Cutts-Watson, in Guernsey, works on contentious and semi-contentious matters with a focus on trust and financial services disputes, and is part of the firm’s multi-disciplinary employment team. Tom was called to the Guernsey Bar as an Advocate of the Royal Court this year.
Four members of the business services team in the Channel Islands have also been promoted including Sophie Ferbrache to Group Head of Marketing, Mary Hurrell to Group Head of Human Resources, Vicki Malledent to Group Business Manager and Dawn Bale to Operations Manager.
