Construction work on The Shipyard, which is the joint venture between Casual Dining Group and Ports of Jersey to create a new destination pub at Elizabeth Terminal, is making good progress, with work being carried out by a team of local contractors.
The Shipyard will be a contemporary pub, serving classic British pub dishes throughout the day and into the evening, along with a wide range of drinks, including a large selection of local and well-known branded ales and lagers, cocktails, wines and champagne by the glass.
In addition, the venue will include a nautical themed soft play area for young children, TV screens showing live sport, a variety of promotions on different days of the week, and a stage providing live entertainment, ranging from comedy to music, guaranteeing something for all tastes to enjoy. The venue will also be available to book for semi-private functions and parties.
Mark Nelson, Managing Director of Concessions and Franchising, Casual Dining Group, said: “We’re delighted to be opening The Shipyard this summer, creating a new and revitalised hub for the local community to enjoy, as well as appealing to visiting yachtsmen and passengers travelling to Jersey by sea.
“We were determined to create a unique space that would be equally appealing to people using the ferry, as well as those wanting to watch live sport with a pint, or mothers meeting midweek for a coffee. We’re very happy with the final designs for the space and truly believe The Shipyard will give the local community and visitors to the Island something new and different to enjoy.”
The site, which is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment, is set to open its doors this summer. Further details on the venue and its range of food and drink will be revealed closer to the opening.
