The Channel Islands Co-operative Society held a board meeting on Sunday 1 September and elected Guernsey Director Paula Williams as its new President.
On her appointment, Paula said: “I am delighted to have been elected as the President of The Channel Islands Co-operative Society’s Board of Directors. I’m looking forward to working with our fantastic colleagues to drive the Society’s vision of making a real difference in the communities we serve, looking after our members and continuing as the Island’s leading responsible retailer.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ben Shenton, our previous President of five years and Board member of 14 years, for all of his hard work and dedication in the role.”
At the same meeting, the Society’s Board appointed Mark Cox, the current Chief Operating Officer, to the position of Acting Chief Executive Officer whilst Colin Macleod the existing Chief Executive Officer is away from the business on sick leave.
