Local insurance broker Rossborough will relocate to new premises at the heart of Jersey’s business centre later this month.
Seventy staff will move to newly refurbished offices at Liberation House on Monday 10 December, making it easier for islanders to access insurance services from Rossborough’s broking team.
The move is part of a transformational year for Jersey’s only Chartered Insurance Broker, during which the company has restructured its executive team following the arrival of James Anderson as Group Managing Director in January. The broker, which is also a Gallagher company – one of the largest global insurance brokers – has experienced positive growth within the business, particularly its Healthcare and Private Clients offerings.
James Anderson said: “Rossborough continues to go from strength to strength, and the move to Liberation House is the next step in that growth story. Moving to central premises, adjacent to the IFC, will ensure that we are in a prime location to support customers and business clients and underscores our commitment to the local market. We are really looking forward to settling into our new home and continuing to provide unparalleled levels of customer service.”
A number of events are planned to mark the office move. Rossborough staff will march from the top of Queen Street to the new offices at Liberation House on the morning of Monday 10 December, carrying signs announcing the move to the public. As part of the celebration, Jersey Ladies Rugby Team will accompany the employees to highlight Rossborough and Gallagher’s close involvement with rugby.
Rossborough has strong ties to local rugby, while Gallagher became the title sponsor of Premiership Rugby at the start of the season. As part of the sponsorship, the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Trophy is being specially brought over to the Island and will be on display, and open to the public, at Liberation House on Monday 10 December between 12 and 7pm with mulled wine and mince pies served from 5 till 7pm. It will also be on display at the Jersey Rugby Club during the Jersey Reds Youth Academy training session on Sunday 9 December.
Rugby Union player and former Saracens captain, Hugh Vyvyan will also be welcoming students from De La Salle College, Grainville, Hautlieu and Victoria College to view the trophy on Monday 10 December at Liberation House and share experiences from his professional rugby career, including the importance of injury prevention.
“As a Gallagher company, we are part of one of the largest global insurance broking groups. We are immensely proud to leverage the group’s sponsorship of Premiership Rugby by bringing over Hugh Vyvyan and the Premiership League Trophy for Islanders to enjoy. I am sure that seeing the trophy will inspire the Jersey Reds Youth Academy for the season ahead. We’d like to invite all rugby fans and enthusiasts to join us at our new offices on Monday 10 December to view the trophy and enjoy some mulled wine and mince pies,” added Mr Anderson.
