Darryl Goddard has been appointed managing director of Guernsey Energy to lead the business’ day-to-day operations and its approach to Guernsey’s energy transition.
Darryl (pictured) has a wealth of experience in the energy sector, having worked across strategic project engineering, operations management and business transformation for more than 34 years. He has company experience at multiple blue-chip businesses such as British Gas, National Grid (Transco) and Wales and West Utilities.
Darryl has a proven track record as a senior leader and is extremely focused on innovation, employee development and customer satisfaction, all of which are operational imperatives for Guernsey Energy.
Commenting on his appointment, Darryl said: “I am proud to have been given the opportunity to lead the team in Guernsey, as our focus shifts towards decarbonising our network through the energy transition and working towards a Net Zero future.
“I am excited to work with Jo Cox and the rest of the leadership team to diversify our offering to customers, focus on energy management, and put my experience to good use in our mission to become a Net Zero business by 2050.”
