Victoria Park has announced it has signed Corner Group as its new hospitality partner.
Marvin Odillard (pictured) and his team will take over the day-to-day running of the clubhouse, including the newly-named restaurant, ‘Nutmeg’, when the stadium opens next month.
Marvin is a familiar face on the Guernsey leisure scene and brings a wealth of sports hospitality experience to the venue. In addition to the Group’s three popular St Peter Port venues – Cornerstone Social House, Cock and Bull and Boosh – Marvin also runs Marvin’s Sports Bar and Eatery at Aztech Soccer Arena.
Nutmeg, an affectionate nod to the popular football term, will offer a versatile and contemporary dining experience for football fans and discerning diners alike. The team will cater to match day crowds with classic favourites, including burgers, hotdogs and toasties while offering more sophisticated dining options for bespoke corporate and private events.
Speaking of the signing, Rob Jones, Victoria Park Director, said: “Marvin has an excellent reputation for offering a fun and stylish twist on local hospitality. We’ve enjoyed a hugely successful working relationship through our partnership at Aztech and I can’t wait to expand this to include Victoria Park – it’s an exciting time!”
Marvin said: “I’m thrilled to be taking over the running of Nutmeg and building on what we’ve already achieved so well at Aztech. I’m looking forward to offering visitors great food and drinks set to a backdrop of live football action.”
