The L’Horizon Beach Hotel and Spa in Jersey has appointed Nuno Cardoso as its new front of house manager.
Nuno, who worked at the Pine Cliffs resort in Portugal and the Franklin in London, will be responsible for welcoming guests at the AA Four Red Star hotel in St Brelade.
‘When you invite someone to your house, you look after them and completely spoil them and that is how I would like it to be at L’Horizon. The guests are my absolute focal point and it’s important for me to get to know them personally so that each time they return I am developing a real rapport with them,’ he said.
‘Front of house, for me, isn’t just standing behind a desk in reception. It’s about being out in front, welcoming guests, having a conversation, advising them and understanding their needs and working together as a team to deliver the best quality of service possible. In a hotel, you can’t do things on your own.’
