HFL, an independent fiduciary and fund administration business in Guernsey, has appointed James Legge as its new Financial Director.
The newly created role will see James oversee HFL’s financial operations as the company continues its growth trajectory.
He will manage and oversee the company’s finance function, implementing the financial strategy and enhancing the financial reporting side of the business.
James (pictured) is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales; his industry experience started in Guernsey at one of the ‘big four’ accountancy firms. He broadened his finance experience in the online gaming and hospitality sectors before moving back into financial services. He was most recently the financial controller for the Channel Islands division of a global wealth manager and private banking firm.
Matt Westgarth-Smith, HFL Managing Director said: “The creation of this new financial oversight role and the appointment of James reflects the progress HFL has made over the last few years and our continued ambition for growth.
“James brings a wealth of knowledge and will help us to plan and integrate our strategic goals to meet our expansion objectives,”
James commented: “I am joining HFL at a very exciting time for the business and Guernsey’s financial services industry. We are seeing significant demand for the firm’s expertise in the venture capital and private wealth markets. I am looking forward to helping HFL achieve its ambitions for growth.”
