Independent trust company Alex Picot Trust has announced the promotion of Solange Rebours to the board position of Operations Director.
Miss Rebours (pictured) joined Alex Picot Trust in 2002 as part of the acquisition of the trust company that she had worked for since 1985. As Senior Trust Officer she built long-standing client relationships over two decades; in more recent years she has been a key part of the leadership team as the Head of Operations while keeping an oversight of specific longstanding key client relationships.
Steve Gully, director, said: “Solange’s promotion to Operations Director is very well deserved and reflects her broad range of skills and capabilities developed during her tenure with Alex Picot Trust that is nearing its 30-year milestone. Solange was instrumental in our response to the Covid-19 pandemic, leading us as a business while maintaining oversight of some key client responsibilities.
“As we move into 2023, given our continued growth and the operational projects necessary to support these, we are delighted to recognise Solange’s capabilities with the position of Operations Director.”
Educated in Jersey, Miss Rebours has become a well-known figure across the Island through her professional role and also her involvement in Girl Guiding which spans many years. She rose to the position of Chief Commissioner for South West England, the first Channel Islander to do so, and remains an active volunteer.
She holds the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).
