A man praised by colleagues for treating every guest ‘as though they were royalty’ has joined the team at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey.
Sami Amor has been appointed Deputy General Manager at the AA Four Red Star beachside hotel in St Brelade.
Sami who is originally from Tunisia, has worked in the hospitality industry in the UK for 35 years and previously worked at Castle Hotel Windsor where he was responsible for several Royal functions and has had the great honour of serving, amongst other Royals, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
In his new role, Sami will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all hotel operations including Conference and Banqueting, Restaurants, Lounge and Bars, Room Service, Kitchen, Concierge, Reception, Housekeeping and Maintenance.
He’ll be responsible for all Heads of Department and team members, promoting and encouraging employee training and personal development while ensuring Hand Picked Hotel’s high standards and quality yet friendly service is maintained at all times.
