The Youth Commission for Guernsey and Alderney is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlie Cox as their new Chief Executive. Ms. Cox was previously the Service Manager at the charity and has significant experience within the Bailiwick’s children and young people’s voluntary sector including her role as Children’s Service Manager in both Guernsey and Jersey for Barnardo’s.
Mark Thompson, Chair at the Youth Commission commented: “Following a wide and competitive recruitment process involving both local and UK candidates, Charlie was clearly the best candidate. We look forward to her energy and expertise benefitting the organisation further in her new role, and we are certain that she will rise to the challenges that lie ahead. Our vision is that every young person has the ambition to realise their potential and these values are so clearly at the heart of what motivates Charlie too.”
Charlie Cox stated: “I feel honoured to be able to represent the fantastic work of the Youth Commission even further through my new role as CEO. Since merging with The HUB, we have developed our services to offer the highest quality support for children and young people in the Bailiwick and I am looking forward to continuing this with our Board, staff and volunteers.”
