Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) has announced the appointment of Anna Terry as Chief Executive Officer.
Anna joined JCF, initially in a consultancy capacity, when it was established in May 2020. She played a key role in starting the charity and establishing the Foundation’s grant-giving programme.
Anna is Jersey born but lived and worked in London for over a decade. Having worked in the charitable sector since 2009 she has gained extensive experience in dealing both with donors and with trusts and foundations whilst working in various roles for charities. Before joining JCF, she worked as a consultant to a charitable trust, and was responsible for identifying and facilitating suitable grantee projects both globally and in Jersey.
In addition to this Anna has nearly completed an MA in Philanthropic Studies which focuses on advancing a broad range of philanthropic topics, with an emphasis on driving best practice in the operation of charitable foundations, alongside advising donors and the analysis of philanthropic practices around the world.
Anna told Channel Eye: “Community Foundations are one of the fastest growing philanthropic movements globally, bringing together people and organisations that want to improve their communities. JCF is at an exciting stage in its development, with great opportunities ahead, and I am delighted to be taking on the role of CEO.”
