Credit Suisse Trust has appointed Ciaran O’Neill as its new Centre Head in Guernsey.
In his new role, Mr O’Neill will be responsible for driving business growth and ensuring effective implementation of the group strategy in Guernsey. He will also work closely with Credit Suisse’s dedicated Ultra High Net-Worth (UNHW) team to grow and develop the bank’s UHNW strategy.
Mr O’Neill has more than 20 years’ experience working in the trust industry and more than 10 years’ experience working at Credit Suisse across its UK, Guernsey and Singapore offices.
Mr O’Neill, who worked at Credit Suisse Trust in Singapore and was a member of the Credit Suisse APAC Products and Solutions Executive Committee between 2015 and 2018, has returned to the island to take up the post.
Paul Annegarn, CEO and Guernsey Branch Manager at Credit Suisse, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ciaran back to Guernsey. His breadth of experience and knowledge of the trust industry is invaluable. Ciaran brings an open mindset from handling extremely demanding roles in both London and Asia. His network and management style developed from working in these jurisdictions will be hugely valuable for Credit Suisse Trust in Guernsey.”
Mr O’Neill will act as the local senior Credit Suisse Trust official and chair of local management boards and committees, reporting directly to the Credit Suisse Trust Global Head of Trust Management in Switzerland.
“It’s great to be back in Guernsey and see many familiar faces and several new ones. I’m looking forward to reacquainting with my colleagues and developing the real talent that we have here in Guernsey, as we continue to strive to be an employer of choice,” said Mr O’Neill.
“Credit Suisse is a fantastic place to work and offers opportunities for career development and global mobility. I’ve always wanted to work for the best and since Credit Suisse is one of the premier global financial institutions and brands in the world, I feel that I’ve achieved this,” he added.
