People Like Us, a boutique recruitment agency aiming to break down the traditional approach to recruitment, has launched in Guernsey.
Christine Bangor-Jones (pictured), founder of People Like Us, has more than 20 years of experience at a number of finance, in-house and agency recruitment teams. Christine is an experienced recruitment specialist who aims to bring a different solution to the recruitment process.
“I set up People Like Us to bring a unique approach to recruitment. Finding the right person is more than marrying a job description with a CV, it’s truly listening and understanding what a business or potential recruit want from the next step.”
Christine moved to Guernsey in 2008 and is accredited by the CIPD (Human Resources Professional Body). Since moving to the Bailiwick, Christine has worked at two major global banks and several of the island’s largest employers.
On the state of Guernsey’s job market, Christine said: “Businesses are now understanding the need for proper diversification and representation at manager and c-suite level positions. I want People Like Us to keep this at the heart of what we do and make a positive impact in this space locally.
“More broadly, it’s a very stressful time for candidates and organisations. Pressures from the pandemic have made it a very different market than 2019 and both parties may need to be flexible with their recruitment goals.”
People Like Us will be servicing clients and candidates in Guernsey.
