Louise Eden has joined the specialist family law firm Corbett Le Quesne as a paralegal.
Louise was educated at Jersey College for Girls and is currently studying towards her law degree locally with the Institute of Law. She hopes to complete these studies in 2022 and then plans to go on to qualify as a solicitor in Jersey specialising in family law.
Louise worked in Australia for a year and spent some time travelling in Thailand and Sri Lanka before returning to Jersey where she continued her work as a human resources professional for various trust and finance companies. Louise is CIPD qualified and has a career background in human resources.
Louise said: “Both human resources and family law are similar in some ways, in that they can involve emotionally charged issues. Both offer and recognise the benefits of dispute resolution and mediation and have the staff/client needs as paramount. I am very lucky to have found a kind and supportive firm. A Law degree is a very challenging thing to tackle whilst working and it has been invaluable for me to receive the flexibility, guidance and advice given to me from both Advocate Barbara Corbett and Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne.”
Advocate Barbara Corbett said: “We are delighted to welcome Louise to our growing team. Louise is extremely personable and she has fitted in really well immediately. Louise has a range of experience which we appreciate, and her people skills are very strong which is crucial particularly in family law.”
