Mourant has advised DPE Deutsche Private Equity on its recent successful fundraising for its latest fund, ‘DPE Deutschland IV’.
DPE is a German private equity firms and is located in Munich. It closed Fund IV early after the demand greatly exceeded the stipulated maximum cap of EUR1 billion in subscribed capital.
Due to that strong demand from institutional investors both in Germany and abroad, DPE was able to successfully close the fundraising within only four months when that cap was reached. Fund IV, like its predecessor funds, invests in small and midsize growth companies, primarily in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The Mourant team which advised on the fundraising was led by Partner Joel Hernandez, Counsel John MacFeeters and Paralegal Ellie Wood.
Joel Hernandez (shown in main picture) said: “We were pleased to work with both DPE and the team at P+P Pöllath + Partners on yet another fund, and it was particularly pleasing to be part of such a commercial success for our client. This fund launch demonstrates that Jersey continues to appeal as a fund domicile and provides flexibility to fund managers attracting a global investor base”.
