Fund services provider Moore Management has announced the appointment of Matthew Satchell as Funds Director.
Matthew’s appointment, which is effective immediately, constitutes a continued strengthening of the group’s senior funds team in Jersey following Moore’s recent acquisition by Luxembourg-headquartered investor services firm SGG Group.
Before joining Moore, Matthew had spent over ten years successfully developing his career with a top tier offshore law firm, where he gained extensive experience advising on the full spectrum of collective investment funds, from unregulated vehicles and joint venture arrangements to non-domiciled and regulated funds.
In addition to completing a secondment to an international private equity house, Matthew advised a number of private equity, real estate and hedge funds and fund promoters on an ongoing basis and assisted with the establishment of multiple high-profile investment funds and structures.
Matthew is a Jersey Advocate and a Member of the Law Society of Jersey (non-practising). He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West of England and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice.
In his new role, Matthew will be responsible for delivering product and operational support and expertise to the alternative funds team in Jersey and across the wider Moore business, as well as managing the development and delivery of services in support of the group’s ambitious organic growth plans.
Matthew will be reporting to, and working closely with, funds director Fiona Wild. She said of his appointment:
“I am delighted to welcome Matthew to the team. His legal background and specialist alternative fund expertise make him an excellent addition to the team and I very much look forward to working with him as we continue to grow our business and exceed our clients’ expectations.”
Moore Management is the funds arm of First Names Group, a leading independent provider of trust, fund, real estate and corporate administration services. Following completion of its acquisition this summer, First Names Group now forms part of SGG Group, the world’s fourth largest investor services firm by revenue.
