Logicalis Channel Islands has been re-awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 certification – the highest industry standard in managing information security.
The re-certification follows a five-day audit in which assessors verified Logicalis’s policies and procedures for managing security, risk and handling sensitive data.
Logicalis passed the audit with zero weaknesses or recommendations for improvement. Assessors highlighted the professionalism of staff and the collective responsibility shown by all in the understanding, management, and ownership of security and risk management.
During the audit, Logicalis demonstrated strengths in handling documentation, and in the quality of its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Alex Colias, Information Security Consultant and ISMS Manager, explained to Channel Eye: “ISO 27001 is a widely recognised, international security standard. It gives our clients assurance that we are a trusted partner they can do business with securely and with the confidence that Logicalis will handle their systems and data safely. This is an intense audit, and it is testimony to the professionalism of all our staff that we passed without any negatives.”
Logicalis Channel Islands has held the ISO 27001 certification since 2018. The standard is audited annually, with re-certification required every three years.
Alex added: “At a time when everyone is becoming more conscious of security risks, and where a lot of people are selling security products, it is reassuring for clients to know we can deliver what we are selling as well as the way we manage the business and deal with risk. Good communications and training play a vital role in security and maintaining these helped our operations during the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring it did not impact services.
“As a business we can be proud of this achievement and I would like to say a big thank you to all staff who took part.”
Logicalis Channel Islands is ISO 27001 certified by BSI under certificate number IS 678696.
ISO is a global organisation setting standards across industries. ISO 27000 covers more than a dozen standards around Information Security, helping organisations of all types manage the security of financial data, intellectual property, and personally identifiable data.
