Over 300 guests from around the world attended the Locate Guernsey Virtual showcase which was held on Thursday 8th October.
The annual event is an opportunity for all those interested in relocating to Guernsey to learn more about the island and hear from those who have already made the move. Due to the pandemic, this was the first time the event was virtual, giving attendees the benefit of enjoying Guernsey from the comfort of their own home.
Former Chairman of Hargreaves Lansdown PLC, Stephen Lansdown CBE, provided the keynote address and discussed his personal experiences of life on the island. Mr Lansdown conveyed the reasons behind his decision to relocate and why Guernsey makes an ideal home for both families and businesses.
Attendees also heard from Guernsey’s former Chief Minister, Gavin St Pier, and Director of Locate Guernsey, Jo Stoddart, who both revealed how Guernsey continues to draw those who look for a more convenient, safer, better life.
Director of Locate Guernsey Jo Stoddart said: “Yet again, the spirt of Guernsey Together has shone and helped make this event possible. Local businesses have provided essential sponsorship and our fantastic speakers have kindly volunteered their valuable time. The high number of attendees reflects a growing trend in relocation enquiries. Guernsey has a great story to tell and we enjoyed sharing it with an audience of potential future residents and their professional advisers.”
The Locate Guernsey Virtual Showcase remains available to view online here (although you are required to register with Locate Guernsey before watching).
