Local businessman Paul Fox is set to embark on a 500-mile journey this September to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health.
The initiative, titled Foxtrot500, aims to break the silence surrounding men’s mental wellbeing and support those people living with mental illness through Mind Jersey.
From 1st to 18th September, Paul (pictured) will walk 84 laps of Jersey’s scenic cycle path between St Aubin’s Village and St Helier, covering a total of 500 miles.
This personal endeavour is more than a physical feat; it’s a call to action encouraging the community to engage in their own ‘500’ challenges, be it swimming 500 metres, baking 500 cupcakes, or any creative activity centred around the number 500.
Paul said: “Foxtrot500 was born out of a deep personal commitment to raise awareness around men’s mental health, following the loss of a friend, ‘Diamond’ Rick Jordas and several others over the past year.
“Many men still struggle to talk openly about how they feel due to outdated stigmas surrounding masculinity, this challenge aims to change the narrative around this.”
