Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands (LBFCI) has been celebrating Small Charity Week (17- 22 June) by announcing its grant programme is open again for applications for charities needing support with their core running costs or an existing or new service or programme.
The Foundation supports charities which help people, especially those who are disadvantaged and disabled, to play a fuller role in communities throughout the Channel Islands.
Last year, more than £1 million in ‘live’ funding was granted by LBFCI, supporting 29 charities with new grant awards totalling £925,000, plus ten ongoing multiple year grants amounting to a further £300,000.
Jo Le Poidevin, Executive Director for the Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands, commented:
“LBFCI recognises the essential work of small charities which are making a difference to thousands of individuals, communities and causes across the Channel Islands. We know charities are facing a rising demand for their services and support but shrinking resources to respond to this need. I am very pleased that the Foundation can continue to provide an invaluable contribution to the charity sector, and I encourage charities across the islands to get in touch should they need support.”
