John’s sporting achievements are an inspiration to many – I’m sure islanders are as excited as I am to meet him. It will be my first time at the event and I look forward to the great atmosphere I’ve heard so much about.”
Funds raised through this year’s Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon will benefit Futuremakers for Standard Chartered, a global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people, as well as the JSPCA.
Registration for the full marathon, the relay race and 3K fun run is still open at www.jersey-marathon.com. Islanders are also invited to the Pasta Party on Saturday 5 October where John will also make an appearance. Tickets are £12 and can be purchased by emailing [email protected].
