Four of Walkers’ legal practice groups in Guernsey have been promoted to the top tier in the latest edition of the Legal 500 rankings.
Walkers practice groups in Banking & Finance, Dispute Resolution, Employment and Insurance have all been promoted to the top rank after another year of growth and recruitment in the team.
Group Partner Matt Sanders (in main photo) said that the results – and the new individual recognition for partners Sarah Brehaut, Rupert Morris and Sam Shires – reflected another 12 months that has seen the firm further develop its teams and status in the market. “We are delighted by these excellent results which show not just how far we have come, but also how respected the individuals that make up these teams are,” he said.
“To see four of our teams promoted to the top echelon in one year shows that this is a group of lawyers and professionals who are dedicated to technical excellence and client service, and that this is a firm that sees the opportunity and value in Guernsey law not just here, but to our international network of clients.”
Walkers’ headcount in Guernsey has grown by 73% in the last two years, and arrivals so far this year include partner Adam Cole, senior counsel Jamie Bookless and associate Katherine Jensen in the Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team, and associate Kathryn Macken in the Private Capital and Trusts team.
The Legal 500 rankings released yesterday recognise employment law partner Louise Hall and insolvency and dispute resolution partner Alison Ozanne in the Legal 500 “Hall of Fame”, along with Leading Individuals Sarah Brehaut, Rupert Morris, Sam Shires and Kate Storey, and Rising Stars Sarah Ash, Zoe Hallam, Kim Paiva and Victoria Pratt.
