Leading Channel Island property firm Savills has announced that it has become a silver sponsor of the Guernsey Property and Construction Awards for the next two years. This follows the news that Ogier has committed to being gold sponsor for a two-year period.
The Awards, established in 2015, is an initiative that celebrates Guernsey’s property and building industry sectors, and raises awareness of issues facing professionals within those sectors across the Bailiwick.
The black-tie Awards event recognises those who have excelled in certain industry sectors, such as construction, engineering, and property sales. Having attended the highly successful 2018 Awards, Savills felt the time was right to add their support.
Tony Rowbotham, director of Savills, says: “Construction is the lifeblood of a vibrant economy. We’re delighted to sponsor these awards and help promote this vitally important contributor to the island’s finances.“
In addition to Savills, another two new silver sponsors for 2019 are HVC and Guernsey Building Supplies, with Guernsey Gas and Channel Island Ceramics continuing their support from last year.
Tim Guilbert, co-founder of the Guernsey Property and Construction Awards, says: “We’re delighted that Savills will be joining us to sponsor the ‘Aspiring Star’ category. Savills is a high profile, well-respected organisation whose focus on professional property matters is second to none. We look forward to working closely alongside them to grow and enhance the Awards further.”
