From 1 October 2019, KPMG in the Channel Islands will see a change in its senior leadership team when the current Senior Partner, Jason Laity, retires from the firm. Neale Jehan replaces Jason as Senior Partner and Andy Quinn, the CI Head of Audit, takes on Neale’s previous role of Managing Partner.
Jason commented: “I’m very proud to have been part of the leadership team of this firm for several years, during which time we have continued to deliver outstanding client service. At the same time we have also made the firm a better place for our people, no matter what their background, to learn and work, build a career and establish lifelong friendships. I know I leave the firm in capable hands and as I set out on the next stage of my career, I wish Neale, Andy and everybody else at KPMG here and around the world the very best.”
Neale Jehan, incoming Senior Partner, commented: “Jason has dedicated a significant portion of his career to KPMG in the Channel Islands. From working with Jason over the years, I know he will be sorely missed having been the driving force for many initiatives including our move into the digital sector. All of this alongside his day job as one of the leading tax practitioners in the islands.”
Neale Jehan has been with the firm in the islands and UK for twenty five years, fifteen of those as a partner in the local practice. Neale, based in Guernsey, will lead the firm’s strategic direction and represent the local practice within the global network of firms.
He commented: “It is with great pride as a local partner in the firm that I take on this role at a pivotal time for our industry. The challenges the profession faces globally can’t be underestimated, but we are well placed with a great team in the CI to succeed over the coming years. The firm will continue to focus on our core financial services client base, working even closer with our global network and will continue to help drive forward the economies of the islands whilst supporting the community with our extensive CSR programme.”
Andy Quinn has been with the firm in the islands for over twenty years, ten of those as a partner. Andy, based in Jersey, will be responsible for the day to day operation of the business across the islands. He currently leads the CI’s Audit Practice and has a wider regional role as the Head of Audit Quality. He is also a past President of the Jersey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants.
