KPMG in the Channel Islands has announced significant promotions within their cross-island audit team.
In Jersey, Shaun Farley returns as Audit Director from a secondment to KPMG in the Cayman Islands, where he specialised in providing audit and assurance services to some of the firm’s largest asset management clients. Shaun’s focus will be on providing audit and assurance services to KPMG’s local fiduciary and other types of regulated clients.
Shaun said: “I am both delighted and excited to be returning to KPMG in the Channel Islands after gaining invaluable experience with our Cayman Islands firm. I am eager to work closely with our outstanding leadership team to grow our market presence and to provide the highest quality service to our client base.”
Ben Seymour-Smith has been promoted to Associate Director. Ben has extensive experience across a breadth of sectors with a focus on private equity, real estate, alternative investment funds and fiduciary businesses.
Ben commented: “I am thrilled with the opportunity to continue to support our clients as they grow and face challenges both locally and across the globe. I look forward to adding to our senior management team as we expand our audit practice from the strong base that we have established over the last few years.”
In Guernsey, KPMG welcome back Simon Guilbert, who returns after five years in San Francisco as part of the US Asset Management practice. His new role as Audit Director will see him lead the audits of a wide range of international and local asset management clients.
Simon commented: “I’m extremely proud to be offered the opportunity to build on and leverage my experience of the past five years in the US and look forward to supporting the audit quality, client focus and growth objectives of the business.”
Fiona Babbé has been promoted to Associate Director. She has over 12 years’ experience in delivering audit and assurance services to the investment fund and insurance industries including funds listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Fiona confirmed: “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead audit engagements and look forward to working with both existing and new clients over the coming year. I am also proud to be a role model for women in the workplace.”
Referencing the above Audit Leadership promotions, Andrew Quinn, the CI firm’s Managing Director and Head of Audit said: “These promotions are great news for our people and clients and will help us continue the strong growth we have achieved over recent years.
