KPMG in the Crown Dependencies has announced the promotion of James Le Bailly to Audit Partner in Jersey.
James’s new position took effect from the beginning of October, and this promotion highlights his significant contribution to the firm’s growth in recent years.
Born in Jersey, James (pictured) started his career locally with KPMG in 2006 – working primarily in financial services and real estate. He now specialises in delivering audit and assurance services to clients in the asset management industry. This includes funds listed on the London Stock Exchange, and alternative investment funds comprising real estate (RE).
James spent two years between 2015 and 2017 at KPMG in San Francisco. Here, he worked in BCRE (Building, Construction, and Real Estate) and Alternative Investments. This included servicing VC funds and technology companies in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area, as well as undertaking a significant project for a key global client. He then returned to his native Jersey as an Audit Director in October 2017.
More recently, James co-led the successful firm-wide deployment of KPMG Clara – a key technological innovation in the audit industry. As Partner, he will continue to lead audit teams with his vast sector expertise.
Dermot Dempsey, Head of Audit at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, said: “Having been a key driver of growth for KPMG in Jersey, James’s promotion is extremely well-deserved and demonstrates his value as a leader in both RE and Asset Management. As an integral member of our audit team for more than seventeen years, we are looking forward to witnessing his continued success for years to come.”
