An experienced media professional is to join Kings in November, to lead its sales, digital marketing and communications, as the club continues to expand its market-leading facilities and technology.
Aaron Carpenter has been appointed as Head of Sales, Brand, Digital Marketing and Social Media at Kings. In his new role, he will have responsibility for the group’s brand strategy and communications.
Born and educated in Guernsey, Aaron, 27, returned from university in 2015 with a First Class Honours Degree, working firstly for The Guernsey Press before joining Bailiwick Express in January 2019. In June 2020, following Guernsey’s first lockdown, he was promoted to News Editor.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my career in journalism since returning to Guernsey,” said Aaron. “It has been an enormous privilege to have such a prominent role communicating with the Guernsey public and it has helped me to develop so much as a person. After the second lockdown, I was eager to pursue a new challenge that further developed those skills. When the position at Kings came up, it gave me a sense of excitement and a real buzz because of the products already launched and the announcements that are in the pipeline.”
Charles Billson, the Chairman of Kings said: “We are excited that Aaron is joining us to continue to develop the strength of the Lifestyle Brand and communicate the continuing ongoing multi-million pound investment in its premium facilities and offer.”
“I would like to thank Roisin, who is going back into journalism and Tracie, who is going into business development, for their fantastic contributions over the last two years in starting this process off, helping us successfully navigate the lockdowns. We wish them both all the best for the future.”
