Julius Baer Guernsey has been named as the Channel Islands’ best international private bank at the Euromoney Global Private Banking Awards 2023.
The awards recognise the best in private banking and wealth management across the globe and comprise a range of international, regional and country awards.
Entries for the awards programme were assessed by an external judging panel consisting of some of the market’s most senior and seasoned private banking experts.
For the first time this year, the awards have judged the Channel Islands as a single region, as opposed to separate awards for Guernsey and Jersey, and Julius Baer was named ‘Best International Private Bank in the Channel Islands’. The bank had previously won the Guernsey award for four years in a row.
The Swiss wealth management group also won the global award for the ‘World’s Best for High Net Worth Individuals’.
Alexandra McInnes, Managing Director of Julius Baer Guernsey, said: “This award win is fantastic recognition for our team and shows how highly their expertise and levels of client service are regarded in the industry. To be judged as the best in the Channel Islands is a further accolade for us and proof that our approach of focusing on client need, providing scalable solutions and continuing to innovate is working.”
Jean-Luc Le Tocq, Head of Private Banking at Julius Baer Guernsey, said: “This award recognises the key strengths of the bank and the benefits of its focus on private banking and wealth management. During challenging times, this has allowed the team to concentrate on the needs of our clients and I wish to thank them for their tremendous commitment.”
The awards were presented at the Euromoney Global Private Banking Awards ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental in London on 29 March 2023.
