Julius Baer Guernsey has welcomed Max Tostevin and James Ball to its two-year trainee programme.
Now in its second year, the initiative combines hands-on experience with structured learning and was launched to train recent graduates and prepare them for successful careers in the financial sector.
Max, who recently completed his degree in Business Economics at Bournemouth University, was Julius Baer’s bursary student last year. He said, “My experience as a bursary student gave me a great insight into the firm’s culture and operations, and I’m excited to work for an organisation which I know delivers excellent client service and treats their employees well.”
James, a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, said: “The programme offers well-rounded experience across various departments, from operations to client-facing roles. I’m looking forward to gaining valuable skills and obtaining professional qualifications along the way.”
Alexandra McInnes, Head of Julius Baer Guernsey, said: “Max and James are very welcome additions to our team. Their strong academic backgrounds and passion for learning make them a great fit for our programme. I feel confident that the combination of hands-on experience and mentorship will provide them with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the financial sector.”
Throughout the programme, Max and James will rotate through key departments, including Private Banking, Compliance, Intermediaries and Credit. They will be mentored by experienced professionals and receive on-the-job training, developing both technical and soft skills.
