Julius Baer has promoted Iain Stables, Chris McDonnell, Vik Danilane, and George Smitheram from its operations in Guernsey, in recognition of their outstanding dedication and contributions to the firm’s success.
Iain Stables has been appointed as Executive Director of Credit Services, a testament to his commitment and leadership since joining the company in 2016. In his new role, Iain will oversee Julius Baer’s UK mortgage offering, focusing on managing complex transactions, facilitating training for Relationship Management teams, and actively participating in strategic initiatives alongside the local Branch Management Board.
Chris McDonnell, newly appointed Director, joined the company in 2017 as a CDD (Client Due Diligence) specialist. His promotion reflects his dedication to developing his leadership and stakeholder management skills, as his key focus has moved to team leadership and providing an advisory service to the Front office Relationship Management teams. Chris said: “I find working with my team to support and guide their development rewarding, knowing it strengthens the Julius Baer’s capabilities and reinforces our commitment to client service excellence.”
George Smitheram, promoted to Associate Director, joined the company in 2020 and has since demonstrated exceptional proficiency in Relationship Management. His promotion reflects his dedication to delivering superior wealth management services to private clients, leveraging his expertise gained from previous roles in London. George is committed to enhancing client experiences, drawing on his diverse skill set to navigate the complex investment landscape and provide top-tier service to clients.
Vik Danilane, promoted to Associate Director, brings valuable experience and dedication to her role, having joined the company in 2023. Vik’s promotion enables her to provide support to colleagues and contribute to higher-level decision-making processes. She finds the relationships forged with her teams and Relationship Managers particularly rewarding, driving her motivation to excel and embrace future opportunities for development within Bank Julius Baer.
