Julius Baer Guernsey has offered a donation of £750 to every state primary and secondary school across Guernsey, Herm and Sark.
The contribution emphasises the bank’s dedication to fostering strong school communities and empowering the next generation.
Julius Baer recognises the critical role education plays in shaping the future of society, by providing financial support to the States primary schools since 2017 and recently introduced the investment into the States secondary schools, the bank aims to ensure that all children on the island have access to the resources they need to thrive and succeed.
Jess Ingles, Teacher of English and in charge of Learning Outside the Classroom at St Sampson’s, said: “This year, the school council decided to use the generous donation from Julius Baer to install a water fountain at the West Gate, a strategic choice as it can be easily accessed by Year 7, and it is also next to the field so will be used by the wider community. Since its installation two days ago, it has already been used to fill the equivalent of 320 bottles and has been especially helpful this weekend as our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants used it.”
Alexandra McInnes, Head of Julius Baer Guernsey, said: “At Julius Baer, we believe in supporting the schools and communities we serve. Our donation is aimed at enhancing the daily experiences of students and staff, whether through educational resources or practical amenities like the new water fountain at St Sampson’s. We are proud to contribute to the well-being and success of the schools across the Bailiwick of Guernsey as a whole.”
