Guernsey’s seed-to-bottle rum producer, The Juggling King Rum Company, has appointed Pete Davie as Strategic Advisor on global sales as the local business continues its growth into UK and international markets.
Pete’s appointment coincides with the Juggling King increasing its production capabilities and the announcement of a Brand Ambassador partnership with former England football player Michael Owen.
Pete’s experience includes senior positions at internationally renowned drinks companies such as Berry Brother’s and Rudd in their spirits division and will utilise his knowledge to formulate and implement strategy for the Juggling King as it develops internationally.
As part of the distiller’s growth, the Juggling King Rum is now available on the Master of Malt platform, an online liquor retailer, which delivers to more than 125 countries across the globe. To handle the increased demand, investment has been made into another Guernsey greenhouse to grow cane.
Jack Gervaise-Brazier, Founder and Managing Director of The Juggling King, explained to Channel Eye: “This is an incredibly exciting time for us, and Pete’s appointment is a great step forward for the business. His experience in commercial leadership roles will help us develop our route to market planning.
“Our continued expansion is a great sign for the business. As Guernsey’s first seed-to-bottle rum producer, we are entering uncharted territory however the team, like me, are excited and motivated to take this adventure to the next level.”
The Juggling King, which officially launched last year, has just raised over £300,000 with Seedrs beating their target by more than 100%, ahead of the anticipated investment into their operations to maintain the business’ growth.
