JGA has appointed Mike McLellan, a Senior Chartered Architect with over 30 years’ experience in architectural design and project delivery across the UK, the Far East and more recently in Guernsey.
Mike’s portfolio spans a wide range of sectors and building types, including residential housing, private new builds, social housing, shared residential accommodation, commercial offices, health and fitness facilities and the refurbishment of Listed Buildings. He has played a key role in the regeneration and expansion of major areas, leading the development and implementation of strategic masterplans.
In addition to his professional practice, Mike is a Part III examiner for APEAS, where he supports and assesses aspiring Chartered Architects.
Mike said: “I am very excited to work with like-minded people at JGA to deliver the right solution and seek opportunities to make a difference in the built environment.
“I have worked on many different types of projects over many different sectors over the years from small-scale one-off properties to large master plans which were delivered successfully to reshape communities in a positive way. I’m keen to hear ideas from everyone in the team and to actively support younger members in their journey in the profession of architecture.”
James Gavey, Managing Director of JGA, added: “We are delighted to bring Mike into the team to add value to our range of design projects. Having practiced as a Chartered Architect in Guernsey and further afield, Mike brings a wealth of design experience across many sectors. Strengthening our design offerings and capacity alongside our existing talented technical team marks an exciting chapter for JGA, and we’re very much looking forward to working with Mike”.
