Jersey has bagged the top spot in this year’s Condé Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards.
Voted best island in the British Isles by readers of the influential travel magazine, Jersey beat Guernsey to the number one position, with its sister isle coming in ninth place.
“Our annual Reader’s Choice Awards are the biggest and most influential in the business, shining a light on your favourite places around the world”, said the magazine, which ran the awards in collaboration with its sister title in the USA.
It is not the first time the largest Channel Island has been recognised by the publication. In January, the magazine named it as one of Europe’s top five walking destinations, rating its fabulous food and praising Jersey’s unique “vibe”.
Visit Jersey’s new CEO, Amanda Burns, said the team were “delighted” with the award.
