Jersey Trees for Life has formally announced the appointment of Alex Morel as its Chief Executive Officer, following her move into the interim position in October 2022.
Alex (pictured) founded ALX Training, now part of BDO Jersey, and spent 14 years there as Managing Director. In 2016 her work won her the Jersey Institute of Directors Award for ‘Director of the Year for a Small Organisation’ and subsequently saw her shortlisted for the national UK equivalent.
Commenting on her appointment, Alex said: “Jersey Trees for Life is positioned to make a real difference to our local environment. All life on Earth depends on plants and trees and therefore it’s imperative that we protect our hedgerows and woodland habitats. It has been a joy working with a team that’s so dedicated to trees and the wildlife which they support.”
